Activities and Student Involvement

North Carolina Student Legislature 

For the last ten plus years Campbell has often received the “Best Small School Delegation” award at the annual session of the North Carolina Student Legislature. Our delegations have also won accolades for Best Bill and Best Speaker in the House of Representatives. More about NC Student Legislature >

Mock Trials Team 

The Mock Trials Team has competed successfully at the University of Maryland, Furman University (South Carolina), Hamline University (Minnesota), Howard University, Eastern Kentucky University, College of Charleston (2006 Champions), University of South Carolina-Upstate, and Stetson University Law School (Florida). We have also held regional Mock Trials tournaments at Campbell.

The Model United Nations

This group has competed in New York City.

Pi Gamma Mu (Social Sciences Honor Society)

Our Pi Gamma Mu chapter has won grants as well as national recognition for the strength of its programs, and we have chapters of Phi Alpha Theta (History Honor Society), Pi Sigma Alpha (Political Science Honor Society), and Alpha Phi Sigma (Criminal Justice Honor Society). More about Pi Gamma Mu >

Public Affairs Club

Events sponsored by the History, Criminal Justice, and Political Science Department include:

  • Luncheon Learn programs – Lunchtime lectures by faculty and students
  • Kenelm Lecture – Seminar held at the Weymouth Center in Southern Pines
  • Barden Lecture
  • Humanities Lecture
  • SGA/Public Affairs Lecture

Honor societies and clubs also bring in speakers on a regular basis.
