Opportunities & Resources

Undergraduate Research

Many of our faculty are involved in research projects. We offer research during the semester for course credit. If you are interested, please talk with our faculty about some of the projects they are working on to see who you might be interested in working with! The best time to get started is during our registration periods so that you can register for the research course. This is a great way to get started with research and to help both prepare you for summer research experiences, such as REU programs, and to help you decide if research might be a career path for you. We have many students from our and other departments present each year on- and off-campus at meetings such as the National ACS (American Chemical Society) meeting, SERMACS (the southeast regional meeting of the ACS), NC Academy of Sciences, the on-campus Wiggins Research Symposium, and more!

Student Affiliate Chapter of the American Chemical Society

We believe in sharing our passion for Chemistry through education and exploration. Our goal is to travel to elementary and middle schools in our area, performing science demonstrations and helping judge science fairs. We value community service and strive to coordinate trips and service projects for our students.

Astronomy Society

The purpose of the astronomy society is to extend the knowledge of astronomy to the students, faculty, staff and community of Campbell University.

REU Assistance

We assist students with obtaining Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REUs).
