Welcome to the Department of Communication Studies at Campbell University!
We are a vibrant program with an accomplished faculty whose teaching, research, and industry experience are reflective of the diversity of our discipline. Special areas of strength for the department include corporate communication and public relations, broadcasting and electronic media, print and new media journalism, health communication, sports communication, communication training and development, public and interpersonal communication, and communication pre-law! We aspire to help students become communication experts who think critically, speak eloquently, write skillfully, and research effectively.
Students in our department are active in the Campbell University community through academic and co-curricular efforts with our National Communication Association Student Club (NCASC), Lambda Pi Eta, internships, service-learning, collaborative research projects with faculty, and with student and University media.
Alumni of the Department of Communication Studies have pursued a wide range of careers, including but not limited to, print and electronic journalism, public relations, information technology, sales, television production, management, health communication, emerging media, and marketing. Many communication studies majors go on to law and graduate school.
I invite you to explore our website to learn more about our Department and the opportunities we offer our students.
