The Homeland Security curriculum, based on the National Strategy for Homeland Security, helps students master the processes of the criminal justice system, gain familiarity with domestic and international terrorist organizations and develop strategies for disaster prevention.

Homeland Security, B.S. The Homeland Security program will broaden students’ understanding of economic, political, and social issues both on a national and international security scale. View major courses and requirements

Emergency Management Minor This interdisciplinary minor will prepare the students to provide meaningful service to the nation as personnel and officials within Emergency Management. View minor courses and requirements

Internships are required. The department’s internships, which are open to all its majors, constitute one of its special features. With the state capital, several county seats, and many small towns within an hour drive of the campus, interns continue their studies at Campbell while working for one of a wide variety of Homeland Security internships. Students can intern as analysts, with Emergency Management (FEMA or the Red Cross), in intelligence and with many state and local agencies.
