The university String Ensemble is comprised of student musicians and faculty mentors who perform a variety of repertoire (from early music to newly written works) for varied String Ensemble. The ensemble performs one concert a semester.
Eligibility & Requirements
- The ensemble is open to all students.
- Participating students can receive Fine Arts credit when they enroll in String Ensemble (MUSC 452).

Rehearsal Times
The ensemble meets on Thursday’s in the Band Room (#153) in Taylor Bott Rogers Fine Arts Building from 3:30-5pm.
Concert Attire
Ensemble performance attire:
- Women – all black attire in the form of dresses, skirts, blouses, or dress pants
- Men – All Black
Orchestra Students Can:
- Be involved in instrument activities such as marching band, color guard, winter guard, jazz band, and more! Ask about scholarship opportunities for doing this!
